Otis Moyer

First PMC: 1993
There are some people who care about winning. And there are
some, says Otis Moyer, who care a little more. "Your best
competitors are the people who have this burning desire to
excel," says the lifelong wrestler, coach, and counselor.
"I've always stressed doing everything that the rules and
regulations allow to be the best that you can be." Undefeated
in three years of 167-pound competition at Springfield College,
and a member of The National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Moyer
coached wrestling for 30 years at Wayland High School. Today
he directs the Monomoy Day Camp at The Cape Cod Sea Camps
in Brewster; his campers and counselors line their way to
Provincetown. "Everyone at the camp looks forward to it,"
says Moyer. "It's definitely one of the highlights of the
summer."
"Deep down inside I'm a very competitive person."
