The Pan-Mass Challenge is the oldest charitable
fund-raising bike-a-thon in our nation. Now in it's 27th year.
The riders of the PMC have raised over $122 million for the
fight against cancer. $.97 of each rider-raised dollar goes
directly to the Jimmy Fund, the fund raising arm of the Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute representing more than 46% of it's annual
revenue. Contributions finance cancer research and help to
improve the lives of those suffering with cancer.
Every summer, each of the 4.000+ cyclists commit to raising between $2,000 and $3.000 for the privilege of being a member of the PMC team. Nearly 70% of those who ride are alumni and return annually with renewed enthusiasm and deeper commitments to both the rider and the cause. Logging between 89 and 192 miles over one or two days, through 46 scenic Massachusetts towns, they know each mile pedaled brings researchers closer to finding cures for the cancers that affect millions each year. They use their strength to help other who cannot.
I am a Boston, Massachusetts photographer and trained studio photographer who specializes in people photography, with a unique photography style that captures in photographs the true nature and character of any person or subject.
